吴丹丹

生于1986

2009 获得第三届中国摄影EIZO杯全国年度创意摄影大赛入围奖

Award. 2010 获得瑞士爱玲珑摄影奖学金

2010 获得中央美术学院摄影工作室学士学位

2011 参加无题展览莼粹画廊 北京 中国

2012 参加大艺之境中国学院青年艺术家邀请展元典美术馆北京中国

2012 参加大邱摄影双年展—2012国际年轻摄影家展凤山文化中心大邱韩国

I was born in Hengyang city, Hunan province in 1986.

I selected as a final nominee for the EIZO 2009 CreativePhotography Competition

I won the Switzerland Elinchrom Photography Scholarship in2010.

I graduated from Photography Studio, China Central Academyof Fine Arts as a bachelor at July 2010.

I took part in “Untitled” exhibition in Chunchi Gallery ,Beijing, China.

I took part in “Arts Habitat – The Exhibition ofChinese Young College Artists” exhibition in Yuan Art Museum, Beijing, China.

I took part in “Daegu Photo Biennale–InternationalYoung Photographers’ ”exhibition in Bongsan Cultural Center, Daegu, Korea.

I got master degree from Photography Studio, China CentralAcademy of Fine Arts at July 2013.

I took part in “The rhythm of Psyche” exhibition inKong space, Beijing, China.

I took part in “Art Nova 100” in 2013.‍



我们生活在一个被图片充斥的年代。自从摄影术被发明之后人们便马不停蹄的创造着各种影像,数码技术的普及更是创造、传播和分享影像的推手。我们消费影像,也因影像而消费。

穿针引线,使线的一头通过针眼,比喻从中撮合联系,拉拢、接通关系。在这一系列作品中,穿针引线,既是我的“劳作”,也是我工作时的状态,我试图探讨影像与人的关系,快速消费与传统劳作的关系。

This is the age of photography, a society driven by imagery.Since the invention of photography, people have ceaselessly documented lifeitself in a mere image. Now that the age of digital technology has stumbledupon us, the process of capturing an image have become almost instantaneous.However, these images are not only being shared among every day life, theyconsume us and we consume them, or better yet, we consume because of them.

In this series, Wu Dandan takes existing commercial imagesand attaches a very traditional embroidery work to create a new image. Throughthe act of stitching and embroidering, she aims to demonstrate the relationshipbetween people and images, people and consumption and how these ideas are twoin one, as the stitching becomes one with the image in which it is beingintertwined with.
